The Copperbelt International Airport

The new airport will be located on a 2000 hectare site, 15 Km northwest of Ndola and is projected to cost US$ 522 million. The airport will be capable of handling two million passengers per annum. His Excellency, the President, Mr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu officiated at the ground breaking ceremony on 25th June, 2017 and the contractor working on the project is AVIC International. The project is expected to be completed in three years. The airport facilities will include air traffic tower, three aerodromes, a hotel, passenger and cargo terminal, fire station and business complex, with a 3500m runway.

Construction of Toll Plazas

Construction of Toll Plazas at Micheal Chilufya Sata between Ndola and Kitwe and Kafulafuta and at Ganerton between Kitwe and Chingola. These projects costs US$ 4,368,245.64 and K41, 698,334.41 respectively. The Micheal Chilufya Sata Toll Plaza was completed and officially opened in November 2018, The other two are yet to be completed soon.

Kafubu Sustainable Water and Sanitation Improvement Project in 3 towns of Ndola, Luanshya and Masaiti (DANIDA FUNDED)

The project is yet to be completed, the project cost is US$104 Million. The overall project is at 65% complete.
