Kalulushi District is centrally located between Kitwe, Chingola, Mufulira, and Lufwanyama Districts in the Copperbelt Province. Kalulushi is 15 kilometers from the City of Kitwe. The District has one (1) Constituency and 22 Wards. The District is the most politically stable and well-coordinated place in terms of governance throughout the country.

Kalulushi‟s major economic activities are mining, forestry, agriculture and wood processing. The District‟s economy is one of the strongest in the Copperbelt Province due to huge mining investments and being the highest contributor in terms of Gross Domestic Products (GDP) and employment.
